1. GUIDELINES FOR SELECTION OF ARTISTES FOR PARTICIPATION IN PROGRAMMES ORGANISED BY SOUTH ZONE CULTRAL CENTRE.

 

1. Guidelines for selection and invitation of Artists by SZCC for participation in the festivals organized by SZCC in the Calendar Year

  1. Professional Troupes/ Artistes from Member States/Union Territories will be selected based on their performance quality.

  2. Artists from Member States/Union Territories may apply online to SZCC for participating in SZCC programmes.

  3. Artists belonging to other zones will be invited for the festivals of SZCC based on the recommendations of the concerned Zonal Cultural Centres

  1. National/ State Award winning Artistes, Graded Artists of Doordarshan and All India Radio will be invited to perform in festivals.

  1. Efforts will be made to bring in new talents as far as possible.

  1. Artists who perform risky art form performances requires insurance requirements for participation in the SZCC festivals

  1. All performance will be with live music, wherever required, and recorded music is discouraged.

2. Method of Registration of Artists

 

  1. Any artist can register at our website http://www.szccindia.org/ by entering the relevant details. Print out of the application along with CD (Name and Reg no. may please be super scribed on the CD) containing the performance may be sent to : South Zone Cultural Centre, ‘Dakshini’, Medical College Road, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu-613004

  1. Any Artist can Register make more than one registration if he /she wishes to apply in different art forms.

  1. After Receipt of the registration number change of address, change of troupe members, death of a member, cancellation of the troupe etc. will be accepted only after one month of registration and will be accepted based on documentary proof either through online or offline by SZCC.

3. Method of applying for Young Talent Award

 

        Any Young Talented Artist of 18 to 30 years of age from the field of rare Folk and Tribal, Dance and Music ; Art and Craft ; Classical Art Forms. Preference will be given to rare and Vanishing Art form from the States/UTs of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana,Karnataka, Kerala,Tamil Nadu ,Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep Islands and Puducherry can register and apply through the application format available in our website http://www.szccindia.org/ by entering the relevant details. Print out of the application with filled in full details along with CD /Document (Name and Reg no. may please be super scribed on the CD/document ) containing the performance may be sent to : South Zone Cultural Centre, ‘Dakshini’, Medical College Road, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu-613004
